Of Lessons & Tournaments (for Draca)

minhaliliaCassie couldn't imagine participating in the Triwizard Tournament. Even if fifteen-year-olds were allowed to submit their names, it wasn't anything she'd have desired to sign up for. She didn't need the recognition or money. It wasn't ego, it was a simple fact. She had plenty of both, in spades, and as far as she saw it, it was someone else's turn.
She was happy for Cedric Diggory being chosen as Hogwart's champion. She couldn't imagine anyone else taking on that role for the school. Everyone had rallied behind him and truthfully, it was refreshing to not have the typical inter-house competition.
One thing she missed from this absolute mess? Flying and the Quidditch games.
Cassie made her way through the library to a small table they usually commandeered near the back. It was quiet and away from the main thoroughfare, which was exactly what they needed sometimes. Cassie sat her bag down in the empty chair then sat across from the other girl.
"While the tournament is fun and all," there was a hint of sarcasm to her voice, "I miss flying and quidditch," she finished before taking out her advanced ruin's book and parchment.
Cassie looked at Draca and gave her a smile. The other girl was always so immaculate and absolutely beautiful. She wasn't sure how it was possible but somewhere over the holidays, she felt even closer to her best friend.
