You Are Cordially Invited to the Yule Ball!

How to play
① Tag in
② Go to RNG and roll 1-10. That's your scenario!
③ Tag around!
④ Have fun. :)
Cross-canon/canon/oc's are all welcome! Just note how your character has been invited to the ball or if they're a student! We welcome it all. ♥
Scenarios
① Ask Your Date to the Yule Ball - Invite that special someone or ask your best friend. There is nothing wrong with going as friends!
② Dress Shopping/Dress Robe Shopping - It's time to find that perfect outfit! Or have one mailed to you and ask someone to alter it for you if need be.
③ Getting Ready - It's time to get ready for the ball, do you feel that nervous flutter?
④ Picking Up Your Date - Go and pick up your date, the ball is about to start!
⑤ The First Dance - It's time for the first dance. Are you ready?
⑥ Refreshment Table - Let's hope
⑦ The Courtyard - Need a break from dancing and people? We get that. Go into the courtyard and get a breath of fresh air. Just be sure no teacher catches you making out with your date.
⑧ Wardrobe Malfunction - The absolute worst timing, a wardrobe malfunction! What do you do?
⑨ Chaperone - Are you a chaperone for the evening? How'd you get stuck with that gig? Better make sure the Marauders aren't creating havoc or spiking the punch!
⑩ Free Choice - You know what, you do your thing!
LET'S. DO. THIS. 1
All of it formed a fairly solid argument as far as Lily Evans was concerned, and as such the afternoon found her hanging around the courtyard, visions of essay deadlines dancing in her head as she idly toed the cobblestone, waiting for John to turn up.
At the first hint of his voice her head lifted and she cleared her throat, squaring her shoulders as she crossed the courtyard to fall into step beside him, determined to buckle down and handle the situation as boldy as she could.
"Have you found a date for the ball yet?"
no subject
"I'm pretty sure you've figured out I'm not much of guy for school spirit so uh, not really. Unless you count my guitar. With everyone gone from the dorms I don't have to worry about anyone nagging me for too much noise."
He scoots in beside Lily, brushing at her sleeve with his elbow. "If you're looking for an excuse to tell me some sordid details, I'm all in. Spare nothing, I've heard it all."
no subject
Glancing over at him she nodded at the request for gossip. "Bit of news you haven't heard then. I was going to ask you to the ball, but you've decided to pretend to be Bob Dylan that night." She shifted, nudging him lightly in the side before continuing to walk.
no subject
He then stops in his tracks, smacking an open faced palm to his chest and stumbles exaggeratedly backwards. "Lily Evans. Now what would people say about you hanging out with a degenerate like me?"
no subject
"What business is it of mine what other people say or think? And I'm not asking you, as I've said, Joe Strummer, you've made your intentions quite clear."
no subject
If there was one thing John hated, it was to be predictable. He catches back up to Lily with quick, skittering steps before kissing her on the cheek with the same motion as one of his steps forward.
"I'd be delighted to with you, I thought you'd never ask."
no subject
"I didn't know you'd been waiting for my invitation." She laughed quietly and elbowed his side again before turning her head slightly to hide a smile behind her hair. "I'm impressed you haven't wasted away from longing completely, and there's still some of you left to dance with."
At that Lily turned to look at him sharply, narrowing her eyes. "And you are absolutely going to have to ask me to dance. If I wanted to lean against a wall with you looking unimpressed about everything I could do that any day."
no subject
"Lily how you injure me! I'll have you know I'm a very good dancer." He's not, but he likes to flail around. "I had just assumed we were gonna dance. That's what a dance is right? Do I still have to ask you?"
no subject
Reaching out to take his arm while they walked she turned her head to look over at him. "Will you meet me just by the library door then? At half seven?" She was trying not to sound too pleased about all this, but her smile betrayed her, as it usually did.
