③ Tag around!
④ Have fun. :)
Cross-canon/canon/oc's are all welcome! Just note how your character has been invited to the ball or if they're a student! We welcome it all. ♥
Scenarios
① Ask Your Date to the Yule Ball - Invite that special someone or ask your best friend. There is nothing wrong with going as friends!
② Dress Shopping/Dress Robe Shopping - It's time to find that perfect outfit! Or have one mailed to you and ask someone to alter it for you if need be.
③ Getting Ready - It's time to get ready for the ball, do you feel that nervous flutter?
④ Picking Up Your Date - Go and pick up your date, the ball is about to start!
⑤ The First Dance - It's time for the first dance. Are you ready?
⑥ Refreshment Table - Let's hope
⑦ The Courtyard - Need a break from dancing and people? We get that. Go into the courtyard and get a breath of fresh air. Just be sure no teacher catches you making out with your date.
⑧ Wardrobe Malfunction - The absolute worst timing, a wardrobe malfunction! What do you do?
⑨ Chaperone - Are you a chaperone for the evening? How'd you get stuck with that gig? Better make sure the Marauders aren't creating havoc or spiking the punch!
⑩ Free Choice - You know what, you do your thing!
Seamus Finnegan
9 - the worst chaperones to ever chaperone
They had come a long way since their days at Hogwarts. Opening up a magical tattoo parlor for not only those wanting a tattoo but specifically to help cover the dark mark was at the top of the list. Right next to or under his deepening relationship with Seamus. "How many students do you think we'll have to keep from spiking the punch or adding some sort of edible brownie to the offerings?"
Absolute worse. Drag him home, Dean.
Even as he asks that he dips his hand in his pocket, withdrawing something small and round and flashing it at Dean before dipping it back in his pocket. "Not Zonko's or Wealeys' either. My own making." He shrugs as if he hadn't smuggled a flash bang charm into the Yule Ball.
Okay maybe he hadn't come so far, but they really had as a pair.
He perks up at that though. "I'm hoping for the brownies, myself, and I would bet starting with that Hufflepuff right there," he says, nodding at a kid edging around the table.
IDK HE KIND OF WANTS TO SEE IT PLAY OUT.
He shook his head at the flash-bang charm he'd shown him before grinning. "So is that what you've been working on when you think you're being so sneaky? It's impressive."
And really, there were somethings, no matter how old they get, that simply don't change.
Dean turned and spotted the Hufflepuff who was asking so sly. "They always blamed the Twins for getting in the most trouble but it's the Puff's that they truly need to worry about. I've been sayin' it for years. It's always the quiet ones." He should, as a chaperone, go and stop the kid from placing said brownies on the table but he was also waiting to see what happened.

That smirk is a wicked grin. "One of the things I've been working on. You never know when you might need a little bang," he points out, leaning into Dean so his shoulder rubs against his boyfriend's shoulder.
"Always," he says with a nod. "And haven't we learned more and more how it goes. Though I bet you some Ravenclaw grew him whatevers in those."
no subject
Dean grinned and wrapped his arm around the other man's shoulder's and gave one a squeeze. "That is very true," he said in agreement and pressed a kiss to his boyfriend's cheek.
"Ravenclaw or a very talented Gryffindor - remember Neville had some of the best."
"Mr. Thomas and Mr. Finnigan," Headmistress McGonagall said coming up behind them. "May I speak with you both, please?"
"Whatever it is, we didn't do it, Ma'am."
no subject
Sliding his hand along Dean's back, leaning into his boyfriend with a smile. "You know we're going to get in trouble if we're not..."
And then there's that so very familiar voice.
"What was I saying?" He turns to face her. "Headmistress. You're looking positively gorgeous tonight and so young for someone leading the most prestigious school in the world. How are you?"
okay so i'm imagining this some years after the battle & their shop. A student needing a cover up!
He grinned at the little smile that tugged on the corners of Headmistress McGonagall's face.
"Gentlemen, if you could follow me, please. We won't be long," she said and turned to lead them to the little antechamber that had once been used for the meeting of the champions all those years ago.
Love it.
He's pretty sure he didn't, and he's certain that if he hasn't, then Dean hasn't. So then why are they being called out of the party to face McGonagall about... something.
"This is about school, isn't it? What I did back then?"
He is grinning though, faking being worried as he takes Dean's hand and follows after the Headmistress.

He laced his fingers in with Seamus's as they walked and laughed. "I doubt she'd have waited this long from giving you detention."
Headmistress McGonagall rolled her eyes with exasperated fondness as she allowed the two gentlemen to enter before stepping behind them and shutting the door. Instead was a seventh year Slytherin who stood by the fire. She'd been glad when he approached her about what he wanted and had known just the students to help.
"Gentlemen, this is Roland and he has a pesky little thing he'd like to get rid of," she said, gently and gave him a nod in encouragement.
Roland turned to face the two men then at the Headmistress. He had heard through the grapevine of the Hogwarts gossip rag that they'd been making a name for themselves outside of Hogwarts. In particular, a Slytherin was even working for them! Well, if she could then he could. He shrugged out of his robe and rolled up his left sleeve to where the faded but noticeable dark mark was burned into his skin. He still cringed and felt nauseous every time he looked at it, something that he'd been forced to take due to his family's pressure.
no subject
"You don't know. This could be why we were invited," he points out with a grin, having way too much fun with this though he suspected this was a bit serious.
And it is as the Headmistress introduces them to Roland that he realizes just how serious this is.
Seamus goes pale then, hating to see this boy who would have been so young when this was forced on him. And that is what it was. These children forced into being warriors and he tenses as he lets go of his love's hand and moves closer to the boy. Moving his hand, a stool comes closer and he moves to sit down as it slides up behind him.
He looks up at Roland, cradling the boy's hand in his. "It's okay," he says, knowing it's not from the boy. He can feel it practically radiating off of him. "We can get rid of it," he murmurs, trying to help calm him, radiating warmth and kindness. "And we'll sever the tie."
He lightly runs his fingers over it, feeling how strong it might be. "There's things we can do to get rid of it that will mostly not leave a sign. Or we can cover it up. Others might guess why you have it, but it will have no magic but ours. Whichever you want."
no subject
Roland watched curiously as the chair moved with the slight of hand and as the other man came to stand next to him. Against everything that he'd been taught both in Slytherin and at home, he immediately felt a wave of ease. Headmistress McGonagall was a lot of things but she'd never lied or trusted people who were distrustful.
At the question, Roland took a moment to truly consider his options before looking at Seamus then at Dean. "I'd like to be rid of it, if it's all the same to you. Later... I may visit to see about getting something else but for now, I don't want it."
Dean nodded in understanding and looked at McGonagall. "This may take some time so I can either leave now and grab the things we'd need or we can return tomorrow after the ball. I imagine you'd like it done sooner rather than later," he said, directing the last bit to Roland himself who nodded in agreement.
no subject
His fingers stroke over Roland's palm, drawing a small charm.
"We'll get rid of it then. Some might see a scar but if they try and look at it seriously, they won't be able to see what it is. Just a scar, that's all they'll know or realize."
He glances at Dean and McGonagall. "Go get them now? We can use the potions classroom and have the few items we need. We can take care of things without anyone knowing."
She looks between the older boys and then nods. "Go then, Mr Thomas. We'll be in the potions room," she says, gesturing for the other two.
Seamus gives Dean a smile and a nod, he wants to say more but things are serious now.
