Although she had been minorly disappointed that Ted hadn't asked her to the ball, Andromeda had been thrilled when he'd asked her to dance and asked if he could walk her back to her House. She knew her sisters didn't fully understand her reasoning, nor did she ever try to make them understand or even expect them to, but Edward 'Ted' Tonks was simply unlike anyone else she spent time with.

He made her smile and he was very attractive on top of that. Unlike much of her family, though she never hinted at it knowing where that led, she didn't care much about whether he was a muggleborn or not. He seemed genuine which was more than she could say for many of the men her family wanted her to marry.

When he complimented her for the third time that evening, Andromeda grinned. "You have but I will never dismiss a compliment from you. You look very dashing this evening, Ted." She gave his arm a little squeeze, having slipped her hand into the crook of his arm as they walked. "And, I'm glad that you asked to walk me back."
