Of Mentors & Mentees (for Draco)
To know that in a matter of hours Newt Scamander was going to be in their home was bloody mindblowing, if you asked Harry.
"Do you think he'll be pleased by what he sees," Harry asked, walking over to Draco where he stood near the thestral herd. That wasn't to say he wasn't confident that they were doing all they could for the animals who made this their home because he was. He knew that they wouldn't still be here if they weren't.
Still though.
But this was a world-famous magizoologist and honestly, he was hoping they were doing right by them.
In his coat pocket, tucked in safely so it wouldn't move around too much was the Occamy egg that had mysteriously found its way to their home, staying warm. Honestly, he felt taken with the egg already and simply wanted to keep it safe and sound. And close.
"Obviously, I know they wouldn't still be here if they were unhappy," he continued thoughtfully and ran his hand down one of the thestral's necks. It was the first thestral that had made it to their home that winter evening and never left for any long period of time.
