Obviously Gryffindor was more separated from the rest of the school than Hermione had ever realized but now being in Ravenclaw, even still as the best friend of the boy that lived, it's really obvious how great the chasm is between the House of the Brave and the rest of the school.
Despite their drunken kisses that night before they found themselves starting Hogwarts all over again, Hermione finds herself so nervous. That night could be dismissed as nerves and anger and fire whiskey. This though, it's something else. It's knowing that others will be watching, considering what they do. More than that, it's Hermione knowing how much she wants this, has always wanted it since the time when she was first in this school. And now, now it's happening though she knows so much more now than she'd ever known then.
She can't help but smile when he says that.
"It's always been you for me too, Harry. Ever since I first had to fix your glasses," she admits, stepping in closer and carefully sliding said glasses from his face. "I've wanted to tell you that since I came to Grimmauld Place that night."
