"And yet many who attended other houses have joined him, but they would prefer to ignore that than recognize the flaws in witches and wizards rather than in the houses," Kitiara said, nose wrinkling as she considered it. "Think of the madness of the Gryffindors as they rush in where angels fear to tread. Or that Ravenclaws will focus purely on their books and ignore the world around them. Perhaps Hufflepuffs can afford to have that attitude, but no one else," she added, obviously having put thought into this before.

"It most certainly is, but to survive it, you need to learn to work with their narrow minds rather than butting heads with them," she noted, hoping the girl took that to heart.

"Perhaps, and I have aligned myself in many ways with Slytherin, knowing how others would see me. I'm willing to stand up to it and what it means. I suspect you are, as well."
