Eldrine settled her bag onto her shoulder as she walked over to her Professor. She was a Slytherin, she knew about self preservation and knew how a typical Slytherin should act but... another factor was to know your surroundings, right? Be prepared? At least, that's how she always felt when it came to dueling Merula every year.
She thought about it for a long moment before deciding, what could it hurt? Either the woman would admit it or give her detention for asking such a ridiculous question on her first day. Unlike Professor Snape, who simply couldn't be a dungeon bat because... why (and the fact that he would literally dock any point that she had made so far or would in the near future), she had a feeling there was something much different about Professor Kitiara.
"There are rumors going around, Professor, I'm sure you've heard..." Because honestly, Hogwarts students simply lived on rumors. "That you're a vampire."
There, she said it.
Nothing said 'Welcome to Hogwarts' like asking if your professor was a vampire.
